Jill began working in a legal office in 1970, completed her Associate Diploma of Business (Legal Practice) at RMIT, and in 1989 she opened up a conveyancing business which she operated for over 25 yrs.

In 1991 Jill and a few other conveyancers, formed the Victorian Conveyancers’ Association which became the Australian Institute of Conveyancers (Victorian Division) (AICVic) in 1997. Jill has served as President of AICVIc as well as President of the national Australian Institute of Conveyancers. In 2003 she became CEO of  AICVic, a position she held until her retirement in 2021.

On Australia Day 2018 Jill was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for her services to the conveyancing profession.

Jill is currently writing a history of the conveyancing profession as it developed in Victoria.
